People may follow a gluten-free diet for several reasons. For people who suffer from celiac disease or gluten ataxia, gluten triggers an immune response. Other people have a generalized gluten insensitivity and prefer to avoid gluten to feel at their best. If you can't relax your diet, even at a special time of year like Chanukah, you don't have to feel limited! As you can see from the gluten-free recipes we’ve collected below, you can enjoy foods like pizza, donuts, latkes, quiches, and so much more!

So go ahead and give some of these recipes a try. Each recipe is so delicious, we guarantee EVERYONE will be stealing seconds.

28 Gluten Free Recipes Perfect For Chanukah

1. Gluten Free Pizza Bombs by Ruth Bendkowski

While we were standing in the supermarket, a friend mentioned to me that she was making pizza bombs for dinner. She explained that a pizza bomb was a cross between pizza and a garlic knot. Here I use my gluten-free pizza dough recipe, with a tomato paste mixture inside (instead of marinara sauce) to prevent the dough from becoming soggy.

2. Spinach Mushroom Feta Cheese “Siti” (Baked Spaghetti Squash Ziti) by Rorie Weisberg

Who doesn’t love a big bowl of pasta, especially on Chanukah? With my low-glycemic baked “siti,” you can have that delicious pasta meal without the heavy post-pasta feel.

3. Cheddar-Stuffed Latke Balls and Tomato Soup by Nina Safar

Cheddar cheese battered with latke mix, served over a rich vegetarian tomato soup. A creative and delicious twist on your traditional Chanukah dinner.

4. Israeli Levivot (Potato Pancakes) by Elana Heideman

Serve these delicious levivot with applesauce, sour cream or yogurt, tzatziki, hummus or tehina – anything goes with these finger-licking latkes!

5. Gluten-Free Stuffed Shells by Beth Warren

6. Potato Crusted Pizza by Erin Grunstein

These crispy pizzas are delicious for Passover or year round.

7. Giant Latke by Michal Frischman

Everyone loves latkes, but no one likes missing all the action because they’re slaving over the stove! Enter this giant latke which hits all the right notes yet lets the cook enjoy her evening. (For milchig parties, top this guy with sauce and cheese and pop it under the broiler until the cheese melts.)

8. Latke Corn Dog by Michal Frischman

I originally wanted to do this as a regular corn dog, but Chanie had the brilliant and crazy idea of doing a latke coating. The result was unreal! Drizzle with mustard for the authentic corn-dog feel or with some sweet chili sauce for an updated twist.

9. Tomato-Olive Baked Feta Cheese by Rorie Weisberg

Last Shavuos, I presented a recipe for good-for-you cheese tarts called Better Blender Cheese Tarts. This year, I’m sharing one of Esther Black’s dairy treasures: a savory tomato-olive baked feta cheese, with a sophisticated Mediterranean flavor. Although it’s a popular cow’s milk product too, to get the benefits of that wholesome feta, go for the sheep or goat’s milk version.

10. Potato Latke Schnitzel by Daniella Silver

This recipe was featured on our Instagram Stories for Chanukah 2019 #beyondthelatke.

11. Crispy Beef Hot Poppers by Michal Frischman

There’s nothing not to like here. Crispy beef is great because it’s easy to prep ahead and fries in minutes. It’s best fried fresh, but if you’re short on time, fry ahead and keep it separate from the sauce, layered with paper towels. When ready to serve, warm the meat lightly in the oven and toss with heated sauce.

12. Gluten-Free Sufganiyot (Jelly Donuts) by Dalya Rubin

Eating gluten-free doesn’t mean you have to be left out of the Chanukah treats! These gluten-free classic-style sufganiyot will make your holiday that much sweeter.

13. Cauliflower Pizza with Pesto (3 Ways) by Dalya Rubin

Cauliflower crust has become a favorite way to enjoy the flavors of pizza with a crust that is not only gluten free but full of vegetables, vitamins, and minerals.

14. Maple-Mustard Salmon by Rivky Kleiman

Quick baked salmon with a delicate blend of flavors that will be enjoyed by all.

15. Crustless Zucchini Cheese Quiche by Rivky Kleiman

When we began working on a Chanukah party, the idea for a cheese-infused vegetable quiche came to mind. Perfecting the recipe was not simple, as we were without power after Hurricane Sandy. Special thanks to my special friend with the generator who not only allowed me to bake this quiche in her oven, but also offered to be an official taster. The vote was unanimous: this quiche is a winner.

16. Italian-Style Quinoa with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Feta by Norene Gilletz

Tangy, salty, and full of bright flavors. This lovely quinoa side dish is so simple to make. I came up with the recipe over Shavuos when I couldn’t find the right mix of flavors to match my menu. This dish met that challenge and then some — it’s a winner!

17. Potato Beef Latkes by Chavi Feldman

18. Cauliflower and Butternut Squash “Risotto” (Gluten-Free) by Vera Newman

This amazing low carb “risotto” is made simple with Heaven & Earth Riced Cauliflower & Butternut Squash. Creamy, dairy, and delicious.

19. Reuben Latkes by Michal Frischman

Not that indulging in fried food is a regular occurrence for me, but if I would, these latkes would be my choice. Besides being super crispy, they are the complete opposite of bland and boring. You can get creative with the toppings, but adding something acidic, like pickles or sauerkraut, is a must to avoid a greasy bite. Watch the video here.

20. Feta and Roasted Pepper Terrine by Zeta Olive Oil

This light dish takes the best of the Mediterranean kitchen, resulting in an attractive and tasty dish. It is made in a loaf pan and refrigerated at least overnight before serving.

21. Chimichurri Mushroom Salad by Michal Frischman

My mother is famous for her barbecues, and one thing she’s always done is whole portobello mushrooms. They’re meaty, filling, and so good! In this salad, they don’t need anything more than basic seasoning, since chimichurri is so flavorful and fresh.

22. Baked Cauliflower Latkes with Smoked Salmon by Naomi Nachman

These gluten-free baked cauliflower latkes are perfect for Chanukah or any time of year. Starting with pre-riced cauliflower makes these a snap to prepare.

23. Cheese Latkes (Gluten Free) from the Nitra Cookbook

24. Fish n' Chips by Chef Zissie

25. Vegan Potato Latkes by Rorie Weisberg

This vegan latke recipe is lower in carbs than the usual fare, and Rorie swaps out egg for some Sabra Classic Hummus- and the results are unbelievable. Watch Living Full ‘n Free for more healthy family cooking with Rorie!

A potato crust?! What an unusual, delicious idea!

For a twist on potato latkes and Chanukah cookies! Make potatoes in the forms of dreidels, menorahs and other shapes!

28. Classic Potato Leek Soup by Elizabeth Kurtz
